Using QuickStart CDH 5 and Cloudera Manager 5 as a platform to test changes to Accumulo 1.6

Using QuickStart CDH 5 and Cloudera Manager 5 as a platform to test changes to Accumulo 1.6

Contributor

I am looking at using QuickStart CDH 5 and Cloudera Manager 5 as a platform to test changes to Accumulo 1.6 (http://blog.cloudera.com/blog/2013/12/accumulo-comes-to-cdh/)

I want to build bot 1.6 and Sparc as Maven projects in netbeans.

1) Any guidelines on using netbeans and 1.6 built from maven?

2)

Thanks,

Chris

I don't think there is anything special to know. You can find resources about using Netbeans on the internet, and it can certainly open Maven projects. (I personally strongly recommend IntelliJ instead.) You can create a Maven-based project that declares a dependency on Accumulo and Spark. If you need to depend directly on the CDH packaging release of these components, just make sure to add the repo to your POM file:
