To all Cloudera geeks,

 

'm currently working on creating a standard/template for CDH deployments and as part of that I have my SA create all user/group with specific UID/GID so that it is static across the board, but during the installation step as specified in the install document 

 

Install CDH and Managed Service Packages

Step 2 c

$ sudo yum clean all
$ sudo yum install avro-tools crunch flume-ng hadoop-hdfs-fuse hadoop-hdfs-nfs3 hadoop-httpfs hadoop-kms hbase-solr hive-hbase hive-webhcat hue-beeswax hue-hbase hue-impala hue-pig hue-plugins hue-rdbms hue-search hue-spark hue-sqoop hue-zookeeper impala impala-shell kite llama mahout oozie pig pig-udf-datafu search sentry solr-mapreduce spark-core spark-master spark-worker spark-history-server spark-python sqoop sqoop2 whirr

I get the below warning.

You may find it helpful to review 'Table 2. Users and Groups' found at http://www.cloudera.com/content/www/en-us/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/cm_ig_cm_requiremen...

 

This table documents all the various users and the groups to which they should belong.

The table includes mention of additional users/groups that may be relevant for your pre-creation purposes.
