What are the primary criterion used to compare Storm and Spark?

What are the primary criterion used to compare Storm and Spark?

New Contributor

I am developing a framework in order to process real time big data and store it in a suitable databse. To perfrom the same I am researching on various technologies that can be adopted to complete the framework. As a part of this exercise I am trying to identify the best possible parameters to compare Spark with Storm and evaluate the more efficient technology. So it would be of great help if I could be suggested with a few must use  parameters to compare Spark and Storm to be set up in a stand alone mode. Thanks in Advance.

Abi,

You may find this presentation helpful:

Also, this is not so much a technical requirement, but keep in mind that with Spark/Streaming you get the benefits of being able to use a single API to write against for both batch and streaming jobs.
