Why when I try to attach to the ambari login at http://:8080 it says cant be reached?

Why when I try to attach to the ambari login at http://:8080 it says cant be reached?

I have ambari server loaded and configured on my GCP VM instance. I can ping and connect to my httpd test page hosted on the same box. when I try to attach to the ambari login at http://:8080 it says cant be reached. not sure what is wrong here.

Missing the ambari server name before the ":8080"?

check the ambari server process from linux terminal

# service ambari-server status

#service ambari-agent status


If both the process are running , enter http://ambari-server-hostnam:8080 to get the ambari login prompt
