(ambari) How can users/applications access Hadoop spark

Dear Community

Hadoop Spark has been installed using ambari hortonworks.

Actually, we are able to launch scripts via spark-submit when connecting to the edge node linux using root user then su spark

However my question is, how can clients or developers connect to the spark-submit? API? Active directory integration? Should we use kerberos?

Any idea please?
