ambari-agent (HDP 2.4) registration - CAN'T SEEM to connect to url >> 8440/ca

Hi All,

Trying to setup Ambari-agent (HDP 2.4) manually and the registration process doesn't work as the Certificate URL can't be reached>

I have tried the other recommendations of upgrading openssl and JDK (java version "1.8.0_66") and switching off Firewall (service iptables stop) but can't seem to get this working

Have also tried with 'hostname=localhost in ambari-agent.ini without luck

[root conf]# rpm -qa|grep -i ssl

JAVA_HOME is set correctly so can't understand where the issue is 2. openssl/openssl-dev installed correctly (and matches the setup on another BDA server where the agent registration works)

@Divakar Mehta have you seen this page http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.2.2.0/bk_ambari_troubleshooting/content/_resolving...? Please go through all of the troubleshooting steps described.

@Artem Ervits - yes have seen that page and none of the items on it matches the issue here (upgraded openssl and JDK 1.8 in use which came bundled with amabari-server install) . I don't see any errors in ambari-agent logs at all other than the registration hanging at the below message ->

# tail -f /var/log/ambari-agent/ambari-agent.log

..

INFO 2016-06-17 05:58:20,288 NetUtil.py:60 - Connecting to https://brmex1db01.acs.oracle.com:8440/ca

>> hangs here !! ??

The issue really lies here in that I can't seem to get the server certificate call being made when I type the below (if you can help me fix this I think the issue willl be resolved)

# openssl s_client -connect brmex1db01.acs.oracle.com:8440

CONNECTED(00000003) >> HANGS HERE >>

# wget -v -d --no-check-certificate https://brmex1db01.acs.oracle.com:8440

..

Connecting to brmex1db01.acs.oracle.com|10.65.4.100|:8440... connected. Created socket 3. Releasing 0x0000000000d89730 (new refcount 1).

We had exactly same issue today. But solved it by increase the "agent.threadpool.size.max" to 120.
