cloudera live template error on create

cloudera live template error on create

New Contributor

Hello all, first time user, trying to get more acquainted wtih Hadoop/mapreduce

I'm trying to get the demo cluster on AWS, and I when I hit create, I get this error:

Template validation error: Parameter KeyName failed to satisfy constraint: can contain only ASCII characters.

I am not sure that is an issue wtih the supplied template or the key value pair I entered, or dikdn't enter (I tried empty or just a simple test/test)

Any help would be graciously recieved, I need to learn this quickly.

Thank you

Jason

The keyname needs to be the name of an EC2 Keypair that you have created in
your account. You can find Amazon's documentation for creating this key
here:
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-key-pairs.html#having-ec2-create-your-key-pai...
And you can find documentation about using this key to log in once your
cluster has been deployed here:
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstances.html.

(Other documentation specific to Cloudera Live on AWS if you didn't see it
already can be found here:
http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera/en/products-and-services/cloudera-live/aws-documentation.ht...
)

If you're also getting an error about the key name, have you ensured you're entering the name of a valid keypair on EC2?
