cloudera manager admin console won't start or is inaccessible via http

New Contributor

I am trying to install Cloudera Docker Container on a Mac OS X 10.5.5 using the instructions posted here
http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/quickstart_docker_container.html#clou...

Succesffully executed

docker run --hostname=quickstart.cloudera --privileged=true -t -i -p 8888:8888 -p 80:80 cloudera/quickstart /usr/bin/docker-quickstart

/home/cloudera/cloudera-manager --express

However , I cannot browse http://quickstart.cloudera:7180

netstat -a -t --numeric-ports -p | grep 7180 :
http://172.18.42.119:7180

When using Docker for Mac, containers are started in a Linux VM running on your Mac, so using the hostname in that way may not work. Try with localhost.
