cloudera-scm-server-db: unrecognized service

Hi folks, i tried installing Cloudera manager using automated installation method. but due to some reasons i had to revert the installation using ./uninstall-cloudera-manager.sh .. and after this i rerun the installer file.. but now the installation interrupts .. saying that cloudera-scm-server-db:unrecognized service. any suggestions .. please reply

m installing at ubuntu workstation

Could be that the installer is attempting to start/get status for the cloudera-scm-server-db service,

check if you have the cloudera-manager-database by listing all your cloudera packages # dpkg --get-selections | grep cloudera cloudera

it's prefereable to use the Path B [1] to do the installation

Thanks for the response Michalis, i did a clean uninstall and restarted the installation using Path A, as mentioned in cloudera documentation. Was able to install successfully
