I have done 25 attempts in last 2-3 days to do cluster setup using cloudera director 2.0 using UI and also using director client. I was successful only one time using UI.
It simply fail bootstraping on machine.
Please advice if it is wise to do installation on aws using cloudera director.
Sorry it was issue in aws account. Found there was upper limit on number of ec2 machines.
Best practice using director client and fast debugging :
1) open one window with below command
tail -f ~/.cloudera-director/logs/application.log
2) open another window and run.
cloudera-director bootstrap aws.reference.conf
This way we can find the error and fix quikly.
