cluster won't start after vm restart

I have successfully set up a cloudera manager with 2 hosts.

But after restarting the vm's containing the hosts the cloudera manager no longer displays any cluster, i can see the 2 hosts in the "Hosts" tab but they are unhealthy. This is a snippet from the health instactor:


I have seen a lot of people on google saying to check if the python command for ip and fqdn responds with the correct output, and it does.

Also hdfs/hadoop version displays "Hadoop 3.0.0-cdh6.0.1"


Would appreciate any help to solve this problem.
