dr.who is unauthorized to access /logs

dr.who is unauthorized to access /logs

New Contributor

Hi there,

I am using CDH4.3 with Kerberos security enabled.  But when I checked namenode logs thru web browser, I got error message - "User

dr.who is unauthorized to access this page - problem acessing /logs/."

First question I have is:  which exact directory it is looking for:  by default hadoop-hdfs log directory on linux is set to be at /var/log/hadoop-hdfs,but this directory doesn't have symbolic link or anything as logs

2nd question: where is the web access error logged?  I looked thru namenode, datanode log, there is no error related to web browser error.

3rd question:  can anyone share a working configuration file with me?

Thanks a lot,

Wei
