error kafka a different name

Explorer

Hello,

I have a question with kakfa to see if you can help me, in the listener I am placing the following.

listeners = SASL_SSL://localhost:6668,SSL://localhost:6669

But it gives me a mistake, I have a cluster(4 nodos). You could advise me.
requirement failed: Each listener must have a different name, listeners: SASL_SSL://:6667,SASL_SSL://:6669

If I only use one of the two it doesn't give error, but my intention is that they have several listern.

Greetings

Hi @Peruvian81 ,

The configuration you mention should work. The only change I'd recommend is that you use the real hostname, rather than localhost.

The localhost resolves to 127.0.0.1 and that would not allow connections from remote Kafka clients to the brokers.

Which platform are you using? HDP or CDH?

Let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,

Andre'

Hello @araujo

I'm using HDP, but my problem is that it repeats the Protocol, it tells me SASL_SSL
listeners = SASL_SSL://localhost:6668,SSL://localhost:6669

Error
Each listener must have a different name, listeners: SASL_SSL://localhost:6667,SASL_SSL://localhost:6669
