facing error while kerberised cluster using existing MIT KDC option

The error found while enabling the kerberos using ambari and at the step while kerberised cluster.

The principal & credentials are proper which was working before but not taking it right now at this step.

Kindly find the attached file for reference.

Do the needful if possible.

what happens when you enter the admin principal and password ?

you should provide something like admin/admin@XYZ.COM , and password

hardik desai can you please try checking the checkbox of save admin credentials and then save password, i think it should go away then

Deepak Sharma, thanks for your reply.

i have provided the principal value = admin/admin@ns1.com & password is what i have set previously for KDC admin.

but still it failed with the error shown in the screenshot above.

Make sure that the realm entered when configuring the KDC properties is in all upper case characters. Then, make sure the administrator credentials us the same realm with the same case.

The convention for Kerberos is that the realm name is uppercase characters.

admin/admin@ns1.com should be admin/admin@NS1.COM
