forget password for accumulo's root.How to recover?

I added Accumulo service in cluster through Clouderia manager. When  I am trying to login, I am getting below error message. 

 

ERROR: org.apache.accumulo.core.client.AccumuloSecurityException: Error BAD_CREDENTIALS for user root - Username or Password is Invalid

 

After giving correct credentials for root to login accumulo shell, I am unable to login.

 

please please help me on this.

 

In order to overcome this error:

I tried following step:

changed the 'accumulo_root_password'  and 'trace.token.property.password' 

but still I am unable to login.please any one can help me to recover the password for root.

The default password is "secret" so if you did not change anything, then it should still be set to that.

 

Were you following our installation instructions, available at http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/Accumulo/latest/PDF/Apache-Accumulo-I... ?

 

If you did change the password, then you can potentially recover it by poking around in zookeeper storage. Let me know if you want to go down that route and we can figure out what the right steps there are.
