hbase thrift server on bda node4 shuts down

hbase thrift server on bda node4 shuts down

New Contributor

I have noticed hbase thrift server on bda node4 to be down so i have restarted this particular instance. Where can i find the root cause troubleshooting logs?

i tried looking into [root@bda1node04 hbase]#/var/log/hbase/hbase-cmf-hbase-HBASETHRIFTSERVER-bda1node04.infoftps.com.log.out

but didnt see anything related to the abrupt stop of the service. Pl advise.

Thanks

If you don't see any logs, it might have been killed. Do you see
anything in /var/log/messages?

Dont see any relevant information about the hbase thrift server in the /var/log/messages. Is there any other place i can look for.

Thanks

Master Guru
You may look at the stderr/stdout log files of the failed thrift server process. CM -> HBase -> Instances -> Click on the Thrift Server -> Processes -> Stdout/Stderr links near mid-bottom.
