I have installed cloudera-manager 5.4 with embeded postgresql db on Rhel6.5
All services are up and running but cloudea-manager web UI is not accessible on port 7180.
This is becuase port 7180 is blocked.
We have few ports approved and opened in our env which we have to use to access cloudera-manager.
I don't see any config file to chnage the cloudera-manager server port.
Would you please guide how can I change the default port of webUI from 7180 to any other port which are already opened?
Are you able to ssh into the host running Cloudera Manager (as any user)? If so you can just set up an SSH tunnel. Say your Cloudera Manager runs on cmbox.example.com. Then you run ssh on your local machine as:
$ ssh -L 9999:localhost:7180 email@example.com
Once you are logged on, visit http://locahost:9999/ on your local browser and it will pipe traffic to/from cmbox.example.com:7180
The easier alternative of course is to get someone to log on to CM and edit the "HTTP Port for Admin Console" property under Administration->Settings to a port that's not restricted.
Hi we are not allowed to ssh the port.Is thereany other way apart form "web UI " or ssh .
Some thing from DB side . Can we change port in DB .
or Can you please let us know where DB port is mapped in DB scm so we can change the port through DB.
Thanks for the Clarification.
In our case port 7180 is blocked and we can do ssh to the server but we dont want to do port forwarding.
So if it's possible to do port chnage through back end it will be great. Yes there is no problem of re-starting cloudera-scm-server.
I twll be great if you can please let us know the tables as we are using embedded postgresql. We search in scm DB but nothing was there regarding http_port or https_port.
Please let us know the way.
