how to find a specific value in hive/impala tables

Contributor

Hi,

I have a hive database and I want to find in which table a specific value is present.

Example : I have a value "1234" in some table in the database but i dont know in which table. Is there a query or inbuilt function to figure this out.

Using "locate" function will give me if that value is present in the column I specify. But for that  i need to know both the table and column name. like below

select * from Table where locate("1234", column_a)>0;

In my case, I only know the value. and need to find out in which table the value is present.
