also as i reboot the server is not rebooting
Please check if you have allocated proper RAM to your sandbox like 8GB at least.
Also if it is a fresh HDP Sandbox install then please check if the Checksum is correct and matching the once which is mentioned in the site: https://hortonworks.com/downloads/
Please try restarting the sandbox after stopping some resources/applications on your Laptop to make sure it frees up some resources for your Sandbox.
As you mentioned that you are unable to start both ambari and sandbox shell ? Does it mean that you are getting any error/exception while trying to start ambari ? If yes then please share the output of failure.
Also please make sure that you are logging in to the Sandbox using ssh port 2222 only:
# ssh root@localhost -p 2222 Enter Password : hadoop
Or try accessing the Web Terminal: http://localhost:4200
the page says it is taking too long to respond
Canyou please check if there is any other service running on the same port (like 8080, 4200 ...etc) which Sandbox usually needs.
Sometimes it happens that some services like Oracle Http Server/ Portgres Web UI ...etc which are running on Laptop causes the issue. So pelase check the ports that you are trying to access is actually opened by Sandbox or some other process?
Or Please try using the curl command in verbose mode to see if we get some more details.
# curl -v http://localhost:8080
