I am trying to register an UDF function, and then running the UDF function from Beeline.

Getting the below error. Please help me to fix the issue.

INFO : Tez session hasn't been created yet. Opening session
ERROR : Failed to execute tez graph. Previous writer likely failed to write hdfs://bswin:8020/tmp/hive-hive/hive/_tez_session_dir/a8514f90-89b1-477a-a713-3a168af557c1/test-1.0.0.jar. Failing because I am unlikely to write too.

Can you try adding ur custom jar @ /usr/hdp/<version>/hive/auxlib/test-1.0.0.jar path on HS2 node & restart. check hive.aux.jars.path conf is having udf jar, then rerun ur query.
