kafka-consumer-offset-checker.sh not working properly

kafka-consumer-offset-checker.sh not working properly

I have a kerberized cluster and everything is working fine with consumer and producer.

But , when i trying running the following command to check the lag , it just exits showing null

Command: bin/kafka-consumer-offset-checker.sh --zookeeper <zkaddress>:2181 --group <group_name> --security-protocol PLAINTEXTSASL

O/P: Could not fetch offset for [metrics,0] due to kafka.common.NotCoordinatorForConsumerException.

Group Topic Pid Offset logSize Lag Owner Exiting due to: null.

I also tried running the below command which errors out with the error shown below.

command : bin/kafka-consumer-groups.sh --describe --zookeeper <zkaddress>:2181 --group <group_name> --security-protocol PLAINTEXTSASL

What version of kafka are you running ?
