kafka using docker VS not using docker ( ordinary kafka cluster )

kafka using docker VS not using docker ( ordinary kafka cluster )

hi all

for now we have production HDP cluster include kafka as the following:

3 masters machines

10 data node machines

3 kafka machines

HDP version - 2.6.4

Ambari - 2.6.2.2

We are thinking about to replace the kafka cluster with the latest kafka confluent version using docker

but before that I must to ask the following questions

since we are talking on production kafka cluster

is it right to plan kafka cluster using docker ? ,

or maybe the right thing is to install the confluent kafka not using docker ? for production clusters

@mike_bronson7 your question would be much more likely to elicit a helpful response if you posted it on the community Confluent maintains for discussing their platform. Questions about docker are better directed to the Docker Community
