lucidworks-hdpsearch solr installation

Explorer

Hello,

When I try to install lucidworks-hdpsearch (solr) on one HDP 2.3 data node - Ubuntu 14.04 through SSH.

It told me "require bash". How could this happen?

nodex:/etc/yum.repos.d# yum install  lucidworks-hdpsearch
HDP-UTILS-1.1.0.20  | 2.9 kB  00:00
HDP-UTILS-1.1.0.20/primary_db  |  27 kB  00:00
Setting up Install Process
Resolving Dependencies--> Running transaction check
---> Package lucidworks-hdpsearch.noarch 0:2.3-4 will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: bash for package: lucidworks-hdpsearch-2.3-4.noarch
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: lucidworks-hdpsearch-2.3-4.noarch (HDP-UTILS-1.1.0.20)

Requires: bash
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Re: lucidworks-hdpsearch solr installation

Can you try setting JAVA_HOME before installing? Although technically, Ubuntu is not officially supported with the HDP Search that comes with HDP 2.3.x. See doc here: http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HDP2/HDP-...

Prerequisites
HDP Search is supported on the following operating systems:
-Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v6.x
-CentOS v6.x
-Oracle Linux v6.x
