oozie error after install

Contributor

helo,

I just install oozie and I get this error when I try to access the page:

"HTTP status 500 - Unable to compile class for JSP"

Theres a bunch of other errors about it but, those do not make sense.

FWIW, I've fixed downgrading to java 7.

I have a container where I only run oozie and hue (plus all the required gateways, i.e. spark, hive, hdfs), and manually forced java7 within this container seems to work well. From other comments I read, an older version of java8 like 8.60 could also work, but I didn't test it.

I've also got Spark support running, mostly following this:
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/pliu/2016/06/18/run-hue-spark-notebook-on-cloudera/
Note that, as per the blog post, you won't see Spark in the query editor menu, you have to enter the url manually... kinda bad experience, but it works.
