unable to launch hdp2.5 win10 machine

i use address

http://127.0.0.1:8888/

to reach the HDP2.5 page.

When I click on the launch button for HDP I am directed to ip address

http://127.0.0.1:8080/#/main/dashboard/metrics

which results in page not found error.

I have not even getting the login page of any kind

I am unable to proceed with the course, please help.

please ignore the statement about the course, I am taking course on UDEMY on Hadoop that uses hortonworks eco system. I need help resolving the launching of HDP2.5

@ashutosh parekh How much RAM are you allocating to the HDP Sandbox VM? It really needs 8-10GB to run well, otherwise you may see very slow (or no) response. After you launch the VM, it can take a few minutes for it to spin up and get all of the Sandbox services started so if you're trying to connect immediately on startup, you might wait a couple of minutes before connecting. Also, try going to http://127.0.0.1:8080 just to see if you even get the Ambari login page.

I have win10 with 8GB memory and i7core processor 64bit.

The oracleVM startup without any issues and takes less then 2 minutes.

I am able to get to page 127.0.0.1:8888 no issues - instantly appears

waited 5 minutes before clicking on the launch button hoping that would be enough time for any service(s) to startup.

once again clicking the launch button results in page not found error (http://127.0.0.1:8080)

the page not found error msg is instantaneous, no spinning circle, no lag in reply it is almost as if the machine on that IP address does not exists.

I get no login page of any kind in the process starting with Oracle Virtual box to getting to HDP2.5 launch page.

I also tried the advance HDP link and ambari this too results in error.

I am working wireless on WIFI can that be an issue? the wifi connection is working at 50MBPS at least.

Please advice.

I'm experiencing the very same problem, nor can I connect to 127.0.0.1:8080

Could it be a firewall problem?

It's driving me insane!

Any advice gratefully received.

The web page at http://127.0.0.1:8080/#/main/dashboard/metrics might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

I've upgraded my laptop to 16Gb.

I have the same problem. 8Gb memory is not enough, i add 8Gb memory to my notebook and all work fine.
