unable to view Application log in EC2

Rising Star

Hi,

HDP 2.3.2 cluster is set up on EC2 . When try to view the application logs for particular job it says " web page is not available"

the application job url is mapped to internal IP rather than external .

When try to view the logs of the application as its is mapped to internal IP .

How can I map application logs to external IPs .

P.S. - Using elastic IP (EC2) for the name node .

Thanks,

Divya

Re: unable to view Application log in EC2

@Divya Gehlot

You would have to manage /etc/hosts in the local client "your laptop" .

Add entries of internal IP pointing to public IP of the machine.

@Divya Gehlot

For example here what I have done for the same

$ cat /etc/hosts

##

# Host Database

#

# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface

# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.

##

127.0.0.1	localhost

255.255.255.255	broadcasthost

::1             localhost

104.197.126.29 ip-w.x.y.z-compute.internal

Here 104.197.126.29 was public ip of ec2 instance.
