Dear all,

I noticed a particular problem on my solr instance based on cloudera.

When I check for index directory size on hdfs server with

sudo su -c 'hdfs dfs -du -h /solr/ 

command

I find that every my index occupies more than 1G even if the data dimension is of some KB.

I checked in the directory and the tolg directory contains few file of few bytes but that occupy an entire block of 128MB. So few files

corresponds to several MB o even GB

I checked on this and other forums and I found that the commit parameter will help to force deletion of old transactionLog but even 

if I insert commit parameter to 1 a new transaction log is created but the old ones are not deleted.

How can I delete old tlog. I have to delete manually??
