Hello,

I want to connect from Hadoop Technologies (like Hive, PIG, Map Reduce etc) to a custom Database.

I have the JDBC driver of the custom database. But I want to know where I can copy the jar file so that all Hadoop technologies can pick up my custom jar file.

I searched the hadoop directory and I found that every technology has its own lib directory. Also I feel that copying the jar in the lib directly may not be a good idea.

Can you please tell me what is the process of making a custom jar avaialble to all hadoop technologies.
