Hi 

I just started installing CDH5.

Things I have done 

• Configured yum for CDH5
• Downloaded the pseudo mode 
• NameNode format went fine.
• Was able to Start all the demons , verified the status by issuing the 

Sudo service hadoop-hdfs-namenode status 

~/.bashrc 

The user that I start the demons have Sudo , plus included in YARN and Hdfs Group

but the problem comes when I try to see the demons status using JPS 

it does not pulls Hadoop demons . 

it is not throwing error - it just list the jps process with the process id while the hadoop demons are ruining. 

Is there anything I am missing .please help me out 

any information is highly appreciable
