We are using simple authentication on cloudera cluster. We want to have security to the hive tables and data , for that we want to try sentry. Is it advised to use sentry at this point.If yes what are the effects of using sentry without kerberos?

When we use sentry. what happens to already exsiting tables and databases?

Any suggestions? Did anyone try doing this before?
