HI, So you downloaded the cloudera-manager-installer.bin file from onto a CentOS (6 or 7?) host. It runs fine You login to the cloudera manager UI in your browser The express wizard guides you through the install. What did you fill in on the Choose Repos page for CDH? I assume the Cloudera Manager Agents installs OK and it is just the CDH setup that is failing. Tina

It looks like the PostgreSQL version 8.4 was removed from that repo recently. The page does indicate it was updated on Jan 25, 2018. Doing a quick internet search, I cannot find a repo that could be pointed to on SLES 11, so the cloudera-manager-installer.bin can find one to install. You can try to manually install with directions here https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-11-x/topics/cm_ig_install_path_b.html Or Install on another platform beside SLES Sorry for the inconvience, this did work in January.

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:database:postgresql/SLE_11_SP4/server:database:postgresql.repo Click on this link to go to repo and copy from there, full name is getting cut off in my reply and my copy did not copy the full name.

Add the postgresql repo to all your hosts and the install should work. These commands work for me: zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:database:postgresql/SLE_11_SP4/server:database:postgresql.repo zypper refresh MUST ANSWER ' a ' TO ALWAYS TRUST KEY QUESTION ls -l /etc/zypp/repos.d/ | grep postgres zypper clean --all Tina

I agree it is confusing. I entered a jira inside cloudera a few months ago to change that.

Hi, The cloudera-manager-installer.bin file will always default to the latest version of Cloudera Manager. You can follow directions here https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-8-x/topics/cm_ig_install_path_b.html or I can give you a few quick commands if you let me know what operating system you are using. This issue should be fixed now. I have verified that the parcels show up on my cluster. Tina

This issue is being looked at. Sounds like same issue as http://community.cloudera.com/t5/Cloudera-Manager-Installation/Can-t-find-cloudera-5-7-parcel/td-p/61716/page/2

I have reproduced this issue, not sure why it took so long to affect my installs. Removing the sqoop repo https://archive.cloudera.com/sqoop-connectors/parcels/latest/ is indeed the work around. I have notified the correct Cloudera parties to look into and fix this issue. Tina

I cannot reproduce this issue, even on CM5.13.0. I can confirm that you will only see the latest released version of CDH if you only have this repo, the default, in your parcel list: https://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/parcels/{latest_supported}/ The latest supported release would be the one that matches your CM version. CM5.10.x would see CDH5.10.x, CM5.13.0 would see CDH5.13.x and so on. To see a version of CDH that is lower than the one you have running you will have to point directly to that repo. CM5.8.x and higher, to see CDH5.7.x would need to add http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/parcels/5.7/ to the repo list. As far as the sqoop repo being corrupt or causing issues, I have contacted those responsible to look into it.
