Thank you for your reply. By the way, why Ranger provides "All"? I think providing "Select All/Deselect All" button is enough... Is there any special reason to provide "All" option? In current UI, we can select "update" and "All", for example. This is a little weird.

"Permissions" in Ranger Hive service has "All". Does "All" equal to "select" + "update" + "Create" + "Drop" + Alter" + "Index" + "Lock"? Or, does it have other permissions?

This page https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.6.2.2/bk_ambari-installation/content/enable_ntp_on_the_cluster_and_on_the_browser_host.html instructs to install ntpd even if using RHEL7/CentOS7. As far as I know, Chrony is the default in RHEL7/CentOS7 instead of ntpd. Why does that document instruct to install ntpd? Is there any reason not to use (or recommend) Chrony?

I want to take backup of NiFi Registry, and I read https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/178546/nifi-registry-backup-and-deployment.html. If I can use neither NiFi Toolkit nor nipyapi, how can I take backup of NiFi Registry? Does copying /var/lib/nifi-registry/(database, flow_storage) and restoring from them work? Thanks in advance,

Hi @Matt Clarke, Thank you for the great article. This article will strongly help me and my client. If there's any additional point for NiFi 1.5 on HDF 3.1.1, I'd like to know it. Many Thanks, Takefumi

How can I change the owner, which is shown in `show table extended`, of a Hive table on a Keberized cluster? The reason I asked this question is ... - As far as I know, a compaction job by Hive ACID Transactions is submitted by a user who is the owner of the table. - The owner of my table which should be processed by a compaction job is `hdfs`. - `hdfs` user is a member of `banned.users` in `/etc/hadoop/conf/container-executor.cfg`. I don't want to modify `/etc/hadoop/conf/container-executor` because as far as I know this parameter can't be modified via Ambari. And I don't want to modify records in the backing RDB of Hive Metastore.
