That's odd that it's throwing that error. It's true that only image files can be attached, but you can try to place the contents of the files you're trying to send us inside a "Code" block. There's a little button on the rich text editor for inserting code. This should not try to render your file contents as HTML and let you proceed.

Good point. I think the unread ones are supposed to be bold, but our fonts may be obscuring that, I'll look into it. Also, regarding the "edit your post" fix. It's tied up right now in staging with a few other fixes we're trying to roll out. I hope to push it to prod in the next few business days.

Just to keep this thread updated, we have discovered some remaining issues with the repo and are working right now to resolve those. You may or may not have encountered these issues as they are platform specific, but we're getting it cleaned up.

Glad you worked it out. No, the rack awareness script is only applicable to HDFS. HBase is abstracted from needing to worry about that low-level stuff (eg. block placement). HBase only cares about it's files (WAL logs, HFiles) and it will move those files around to attain data locality for the region servers, but it doesn't do anything with the rack awareness.
