You will need the gateway copy, which exists under /etc/hive/conf/ on a Hive Gateway designated node (check Hive -> Instances in CM to find which hosts have a gateway role).

If you use CM you don't need to use the Hue safety valve. Make sure the Trift Server is added and started Make sure in the Hue configuration that the HBase service and the HBase thrift service are checked Restart Hue and that's it! Romain

I am going through a new install, and got stuck on the same point, ZK not starting. I resolved it by going to ZK dashboard, then in the Actions menu, I initialized ZK, after which everything went well. Thereafter, I went to each role/module installed and performed steps in the Action menu. Seems like Cloudera did not process through these steps on initial install, could be due to some failed step. Thanks

Apache just released 1.3.0 and I would like to install that on my CDH cluster. I know it will added to 5.4 CDH release but is there any other way to get it now? Or any other way to upgrade the existing SPARK standalone installation from 1.2.0 to 1.3.0.
