@Govins28 its says that it can be a data backup but if you check on this pointer : Blocks in datanodes are not copied: the snapshot files record the block list and the file size. There is no data copying.. it says here there is no data copying

Hi @akriti based on the link you gave, it is safe to say that once I've upgraded my cluster to 6.3, its okay to have an OS upgrade from 7.2 to 7.4? I just need to decom the servers needed for OS upgrade. Also need to reinstall the CM in the server that I'm having the oS upgrade?

Hi @akriti thanks for confirming, also we are planning to upgrade our cluster to 6.3 cdh version, then after that we will upgrade the OS from 7.2 to 7.4. Will there be any effect on the cloudera installed on the servers that we want to have an OS upgrade? May we know what is the best practice for this? Thanks!

hi, my partition in /tmp is almost in full capacity, that is why some of my jobs are failing due to space issue, how can I change the default location of the hive query logs of a user? currently it is in the /tmp/user/hive.log. but I want to change it to /data/tmp.
I've tried changing the value of hive.querylog.location in the /etc/hive/conf.cloudera.hive/hive-site.xml in all of servers but still no luck.

Hi, do you know how can I have a replication between two clusters? for example, I want my cdh cluster 1 to be replicated with cdh cluster 2 in real time, so once this cluster is down, we still have the other cluster to work on with
