Will be grateful if you can list the steps to install mahout on CDH5. And if I have to use 'yum install mahout', should I use it on all machines on the cluster or just the namenode. Thanks. AKH

Sometime back I installed Cloudera express 5.1 using Cloudera Manager. I had installed it in two machines: One cluster in my office and another Desktop. Imapala is not starting in both the machines. Is Cloudera Impala not a part of CDH 5.1. There is a message at one place: The following features are independently licensed from the core Cloudera Enterprise offering : Impala, Spark. Does it mean after 60 days of installation of Cloudera Express, Impala will stop functioning unless Enterprise license is purchased. If so, is there any way I can reinstall a compltely opensource version of Impala on Cloudera 5.1? Thanks. Ashok Kumar Harnal

In order to install Cloudera express (ver 5.2), I downloaded cloudera-manager-installer.bin and executed it. The installation failed as the bin file was intending to download following two packages: Error Downloading Packages: cloudera-manager-daemons-5.1.1-1.cm511.p0.82.el6.x86_64: failure: RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-daemons-5.1.1-1.cm511.p0.82.el6.x86_64.rpm from cloudera-manager: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. cloudera-manager-server-5.1.1-1.cm511.p0.82.el6.x86_64: failure: RPMS/x86_64/cloudera-manager-server-5.1.1-1.cm511.p0.82.el6.x86_64.rpm from cloudera-manager: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. But when I checked up on site http://archive.cloudera.com/cm5/redhat/6/x86_64/cm/5/RPMS/x86_64/, these packages were not available. All packages are ver 5.2... Cloudera Manager installer is an old one and probabloy needs to be replaced. Ashok Kumar Harnal

Very sorry for not responding earlier even though the solution given by you had sorted out my problem and fsck ran without any errors and reported healthy cluster. My only grievance is why should Cloudera manager show a RED icon and inform us of unreplicated blocks even though the machine is single. Thanks for help. (Another reason for not responding earlier is that the Cloudera forum requires at least eight letter password with a combination of letters and digits. That makes remembering password more difficult unlike other forums. I had to create a password each time I logged in. This time I have stored it on my machine. )

Well I solved this problem by using Cloudera manager's web-interface (ar localhost:7180). Clicked Sqoop service and then Configuration and then Ports and addresses. I changed the port from 8005 to 8051, saved changes, and restarted squoop through Cloudera manager.
