Avro has logical type timestamp and hive supports it since this patch https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-8131.   However i cant see this patch applied to CDH 5.8.0 build. What is the reason not to include this patch in cloudera builds of hive?   Thanks for your answer. ... View more
