@sharath chandra parashara Assuming you are using Virtual Box. In HDP 2.5 18081 is not added in port forwarding, I had same issue and tried adding to port forwarding but didn't help. Port forwarding can be accessed -> Network -> Port Forwarding A working around would use one of the custom ports and update spark 2 config and restart. Hope this helps.

@Zaher Mahdhi You have to check on how many node Node Mangers are installed, the info can be checked on Ambari Dashboard -> YARN I assume it is one and that is the reason you see only one Active Node

Have you checked hivemetastore.log, did you find any errors ?

@Amit Dass Can you please check Hive Metastore logs for any errors/exceptions. Assuming you are using mysql as Metadata. Further Can you check if mysql is running and you can ping/telnet to mysql with the setting in the hive-site.xml and connect mysql with username/pwd provided in hive-site.xml

We have Ambari 2.1.1 with Ambari views and AD integration. Do we need to run ldap-sync after an user is added to the group in AD. We have an issue where user is not authorized until we ran ldap-sync even though the user was part of the group having access to Views.

Hi Sagar, Currently I don't think there is remove storage policy function. The only way is to copy/move data to a new dir and then delete and rename the new one created.
