Thanks Sindhu for response. Are there any specific (default) ports that we need to open on HDInsights/VM (kindly consider default setup of HDInsight)? like - Hive port- YARN port - HDFS port or do all commute via same port? We have Azure cloud with HDInsight. We have VM outside of HDInsight platform on which custom code is written to generate sqoop statements for different tables. We would like to use VM to submit sqoop jobs on HDInsight cluster for ingesting data from oracle database. What ports to be opened up between VM and HDInsight, so that sqoop jobs will be submitted? Also, do we need to open ports on VM and HDInsight cluster as well to communicate to oracle database? (Oracle is in premise) ... View more
