Need suggestion on upgrading cloudera from 5.16 to 6.3.3 by setting up parallel cluster to minimize downltime and also to change centos 6.9 to 7.x due to EOL os.   1. Setup parallel cluster with 6.3.3 identical to current cluster including all nodes/roles like namenode, datanode, kafka, flume, hive, hue, impala etc 2. For HDFS data, will detaching and attaching EBS volumes from current nodes to new nodes and migrating namenode metadata from old to new with backup/tar. Or it has to be done through replication/distcp? 3. Do we need to backup and restore scm and other databases from old cluster to new cluster mysql? 4.
