Hi All, I am facing an issue in BDR. BDR is configured with a hive replication and it fails in the third step(Importing metadata) The error message, that I received was "<table name> Table does not match version in metastore." What could be the problem here? Thanks in advance Sebin

Hi All, We have implemented Hive and HDFS replications through Cloudera BDR. Creation and modification of replication schedules is done using CM API. One of the problem we are facing is that the 'id' of the replication schedule created is determined by the CM. I would like to know if there is a way we can provide our own 'id'. This would help us a lot to integrate with the rest of the system. Thanks in advance Sebin

I think this is the answer to the question. Can I ask if this is already implemented by some classes? I would love to get some more info on this. Thanks Sean

Hi All, I was going through the namenode and datanode configuration and found that there is a way to add plugin to both of them. I did some searching but could not find any relevant information. Does anyone know, what is a namenode plugin and datanode plugin? Thanks Sebin

Hello, I am not sure if this is the right board to post this question. I have two clusters and one of them is secured with Kerberos. The requirement is to configure replication between these two cluster using BDR. Source : Unsecure cluster Targent: Secure Cluster Is it possible to set this up successfully? Thanks in advance

Hi Gautam, Thanks for the reply!. I have taken a look at the log file and it seems to me that 7180 port is used for parcel download, which is not opened in the firewall. So, I believe that is the issue. Is there any workaround for this? Also, do you know for what purpose 7182 port is used by Cloudera Manager? Thanks Sebin

Hi, I am trying to add a new node to the Cloudera Manager. This node is behind a firewall and I have opened the 7182 and 9000 port. I installed the agent and is running fine. It even showed up on the CM UI, and I am able to run Host Inspector When I am trying to add the host to the cluster, I am getting a socket timeout exception at 99% of Parcel distribution. is my method correct? Is there any more port to be opened in the firewall for this to work? Thanks in advance Sebin
