Hi all, I need some help here. Regarding to activate HIVE ACID transactions on the cluster. Nowadays, we have currently 300-node hadoop cluster - HDP, version 2.6.4. We've been studying possible issues, collateral effects if we apply/enable this feature globally in our cluster, our legacy hive tables (about 1700) hasn't this feature and we'd like to know if have some issue/damage when enable this on the existing hive tables.

Hi ducna, how are you? Regarding your mapreduce job to delete a mass rows in HBase. Can you share this job with me? I've been facing the same problem and I'm looking for some examples, what is the best approach to massively rows from HBase.

Thank you @mqureshi, but I'd like to know if there is some best pratice to calculate a good/proper number for the argument --num-mappers, for instance: 6, 8, 10, 30, 40 and etc ? How to know which of them is the more appropriate for my sqoop job. Thanks Leonardo

How to know the degree of parallelism available in my Hadoop Cluster? I'd like to understand the proper/good value for the number of mappers in job sqoop (--num-mappers argument). HDP version: 2.2.0 http://sqoop.apache.org/docs/1.4.6/SqoopUserGuide.html#_controlling_parallelism
