Cloudera Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Cloudera Community! Our community is a collaborative space for developers, data engineers, administrators, and tech enthusiasts to connect, ask questions, and share knowledge. To ensure a positive and productive environment for everyone, all members are expected to follow these guidelines.

1. Be Respectful and Professional

Treat every community member with courtesy. Diverse opinions and healthy technical debates are welcome, but personal attacks, harassment, offensive language, or discriminatory comments will not be tolerated.

2. Protect Sensitive & Confidential Information

Do not post confidential company data, non-public code, credentials, API keys, or personal private information (PII). Always sanitize logs and code snippets before publishing.

3. Stay Relevant and On-Topic

Keep discussions relevant to the section or forum topic. Avoid hijacking existing discussions with unrelated questions—feel free to start a new thread instead.

4. No Commercial Spam

Do not use the community for unauthorized commercial promotion, advertising products or services, sales pitching, or sending bulk marketing messages.

5. Respect Intellectual Property

Only post content you have the right to share. Always cite and attribute original sources when sharing code, documentation, or articles.

6. Moderation & Enforcement

The Community Team reserves the right to edit, relocate, or remove content and restrict account access for violations of these guidelines. If you encounter content that violates these terms, please report it or contact a community manager.

These Community Guidelines supplement the master Cloudera Terms of Service and Privacy Statement accepted during account registration.
