The mission of the community is to provide a first-class peer-based
forum for developers and admins to collaborate on the use of
Cloudera’s Apache Hadoop-based platform to build and manage
enterprise data hubs. We welcome your feedback on how we can improve
the Community in our Community
Before diving in to the community, please review the official Terms of Service. For
those who prefer a more streamlined version, see the guidelines
below, which also include helpful tips on using the community:
What to Do:
Stay on-topic - for best results, post your question to the right discussion board.
Provide as much context as possible - component(s), version, etc.
Maintain a helpful attitude - there are people with varying skill levels here, so don't assume that someone knows as much as you do. ("RTFM" is not an appropriate reply.)
Seek closure - if you get a response that answers your question, mark it as the "solution" for other users. (Multiple answers within a thread can be marked this way.)
Be thankful - if someone gives you a helpful answer, offer them Kudos!
Most important, have fun!
What NOT to Do:
Do not use profanity or hateful, derogatory, or demeaning language.
Do not include personally identifying information. (Careful, this can sneak into code or log snippets.)
Do not use these boards for solicitation or for any other commercial purpose.
Do not post multiple copies of the same message.
If you believe a post violates any of these guidelines, you can report it by clicking the "Report Inappropriate Content" link in the lower left corner of the message box.
Before posting a new question, please search the community, as there may be an existing solution for your issue.
Be sure to check out our Community Knowledge, which includes articles full of helpful tips and solutions based on community posts.
When entering code or log information into a post, make sure to use the insert code tool in the editor.
