Try below. Some times the ambari cluster environment variable security_enabled might still hold the value true and hence all services expect keytabs . To validate the value of the environment variable /var/lib/ambari-server/resources/scripts/configs.py -a get -l <ambari-server host> -t 8080 -n <cluster-name> -u <admin-user> -p <admin-password> -c cluster-env | grep security
"security_enabled": "true",
"smokeuser_keytab": "/etc/security/keytabs/smokeuser.headless.keytab" /var/lib/ambari-server/resources/scripts/configs.py -a set -k security_enabled -v false -l <ambari-server host> -t 8080 -n <cluster name> -u <admin user> -p <admin password> -c cluster-env Try setting that variable to false

Hi, If you are looking for 2.4 on HDP alone means, as mentioned in previous emails, don't expect any new HDP version anytime before the release of the combined new offering Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) sometime in 2020 or thereafter. As an alternative CDH 6.2+ supports spark 2.4 version. Thanks AK

After running yum install commands the outcome will be krb5.conf file and i am already having the same file structure in my repository so can I directly go ahead with enabling Kerberos via Ambari and does the conf file will accept this? Hi Manjunath, You dont need to run all the steps on Ambari server. You can use even your own existing openldap. Just make sure you have the krb5.conf across all the machines. And if you have secure ldap make sure to import certificate to Ambari truststore i & || Java truststore of OS where ambari running. Thanks
