Could not access base url error during Hortonworks Data Cloud install

Attempt to achieve HDP 2.5 Data Cloud setup in AWS. Cluster fails with error :

"Cannot use the specified Ambari stack: HDPRepo{stack='null'; utils='null'}. Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Could not access base url . http://private-repo-1.hortonworks.com/HDP/centos6/2.x/updates/2.5.0.1-139 . connect timed out"

URL seems not the right one for getting the necessary packages...

Curl said : error 404.

How to fix?

Answer is : do not install the workers in a dedicated VPC (even if the choice is possible) or setup up a bridge between VPCs.
