Does CDSW need to be part of the cluster?

We have a new server that we are installing CDSW on and I can't determine from the installation documentation if the server should be part of the Hadoop cluster before install.  It has been added in Cloudera Manager, but it shows up under No Cluster.  We are wanting to determine if it should be added to the cluster before the install, if the CDSW install adds it to the cluster, or if it doesn't need to be part of the cluster.

It now installs using Cloudera Manager, so yes you want the host to be part of the CM cluster to assign it to the workbench.
