Does Cloudera Manager support custom visualizations similar to Ambari Views?

I see that you can add custom services and have them configured and managed by Cloudera Manager. But if we want to provide custom visualizations around these services, Can we develop and deploy custom screens similar to Ambari Views feature? Is such a feature currently available or in the roadmap for Cloudera Manager?

Yes, custom chart dashboards for custom services is on the Cloudera Manager Roadmap and is under active development. It is not currently available.

We try not to be too specific about timelines, but it's on the order of months, not weeks.

I believe that you can give people an exported charts view and ask them to import the JSON manually after installing your CSD (custom service descriptor), which may be a reasonable workaround in the meantime.
