Hortonworks support for Windows HDP

Is there a published information on Hortonworks, about the future support for Windows HDP installations?

There have been some opinions about discontinuing Windows support due to business reasons, but there is nothing officially released. Windows Server is still a largely used operating system. It is true, very little used for Hadoop and that could be a driver for a such business decision which is pure economics.

I'm interested in Windows support as well. This answer conflicts with https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/58663/hdp-25-support-for-windows.html which states that Windows support has been deprecated.

Do you have any updated info on Windows support post 2.4.2.0?

Support for Windows have been deprecated starting with HDP 2.4. The response was true for version before 2.4. There are no plans to support Windows.
