How do I secure Ambari with Knox?

I am new to the hadoop ecosystem, so hopefully my question makes sense. My understanding is that knox can serve as the central authentication to access the hadoop cluster and it's related services.

Knox has support for ambari. How can I configure ambari to use Knox?
